May 7, 2021 – Many campers, like us, love technology and use it: advanced mobile phones, notebooks, tablets and so on. And they also use it on their own vehicle and during travels. That is why we have decided to talk every now and then about technological objects that impress us and that could be useful for the holidays in contact with nature that we like so much.
Today we have chosen Nikon’s Prostaff 3S binoculars, from a company that is a guarantee and that we know well thanks to our work as journalists, so much so that our reflex camera is precisely of this brand. This product is the ideal companion for outdoor activities, such as nature observation, trekking and hiking. It is available in two models: 8×42 and 10×42. Both offer a wide field of view without sacrificing the eye’s accommodation distance for easier identification of subjects, especially those in motion such as wild birds.
If you love holidays in the mountains like us, binoculars cannot be missing – you use them to patiently search for an ibex that hops on the rocky part just opposite, to see marmots up close – in Austria there were hundreds of them – or to follow the flight of a splendid bird of prey. Of course, the possibilities for hiking and trekking are not lacking even in the lakes or seaside resorts. The important thing is that the binoculars arelight and of quality: two features that the Prostaff 3S is not lacking.
The wide eye relief design offers a clear field of view even for eyeglass wearers, the lenses have a multilayer coating, are waterproof (up to one meter for 10 minutes) and anti-fog, and have a rubber to ensure impact resistance and a stable and comfortable grip. In addition, for all prisms and lenses, Nikon has used optical components made of Eco-glass, free of lead and arsenic. In Italy, the price of the Nikon Prostaff 3S is 209 euros for the 8×42 model and 225 euros for the 10×42 model.
