February 4, 2018 – We have not even been thinking about our project for two months. In these few weeks we pass from the most unbridled enthusiasm to the most Hamletic doubts. But in the meantime, we are documenting ourselves, trying to understand how others, before us, have decided to take this step. Free time is short but seeing a motorhome on a movie poster sparked curiosity. So, we managed to go to the cinema, once a common event but essentially unknown for three years now. We did well.
This movie was a blow to the stomach: an incredibly moving love story with a very strong bond with the open air. Ella & John – The leisure seeker is a masterpiece by Paolo Virzì about two spouses in their 80s who decide to give up the (indispensable) medical care that could have separated them. So, they take their old motorhome (a classic Winnebago) and set out on the road, in spite of everyone and everything, including health. We do not reveal the ending, but we tell you that we were so impressed by this story that now more than ever we are determined to give life to our project. Before it’s too late.
