April 21, 2022 – When the only nearby resource is nature (and a splendid cycle path that runs along the banks of the Po River), why not dedicate some space to welcoming the itinerant tourist? This is what they thought in the small town of Serravalle a Po, in the province of Mantua, creating a great fully equipped area, even with bathrooms (apparently not heated) with hot showers. All for the modest sum of €5. The only thing that can objectively be improved is the shading: two young plants planted four years ago and still small in size are certainly not able to offer a bit of coolness in the warmer months.
The tourist who passes by here does so out of necessity (like us, who were looking for a place to load and unload the waters) or because he knows that from here, by getting on a two-wheeler, he can enjoy an environment capable of reconciling us with nature.
From the point of view of services, the columns offer electricity and running water, while the driveway grill is made in large spaces where maneuvers are never a problem. On the other hand, the payment system is peculiar: you have to buy a €2.5 token at the automatic cash machine to raise the bar and enter and a second token to exit. The cash desk does not give change, so make sure you have the money counted and above all that you have coins or small bills to pay for the exit. In all cases, the courteous caretaker Davide, reachable by phone if not present on site, will be able to help you.
